Trans Himalayan Escape

Destinations: Srinagar 1 night/ Kargil 1 night/ Leh: 5 nights / Pangong Lake: 1 night / Nubra: 1 night/ Manali 1 night.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Srinagar Arrival.

Arrival at Srinagar, check in at Houseboat with welcome drink –Kashmiri Kahwa tea. In the evening proceed for Shikhara ride at Dal lake. O/N stay at Srinagar.

Day 2: Srinagar to Kargil (6-7 hours)

Pick up from Srinagar Hotel/Houseboat and depart towards Leh via Zojila pass. Enroute witness Drass village- World’s second coldest in-habitated place and you can also see Tiger hill along the way ( 200 km). O/N stay at Kargil.

Day 3: Kargil to Leh (6-7 hours)

Morning after Breakfast leave for Leh, enroute visit Mulbekh, Giant Living Buddha Sculpture on Rock Mountain, Lamayuru, one of the oldest Monastery of Ladakh and enjoy the view of Moon Landscape. Arrive Khaltse by lunch for Hot lunch, later leave for Leh , enroute witness beautiful Sham valley, Magnatic hill, Gurudwara pather Saheb and Indus-Zanskar river confluence ( 234 km). Reach Leh by evening. O/N stay at Leh.

Day 4: Half day rest+ Local Sightseeing

After a long journey, relax for half day and post lunch visit Hall of Fame- A war museum dedicated to the brave martyrs of Indian Army, Leh palace and Shanti Stupa which offers you a panoramic view of entire Leh town, Indus valley and lofty mountain of Zansker & Ladakh range(30 km).O/N stay at Leh.

Day 5: Leh to Nubra valley (4-5 hours)

After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (One of the Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft) Arrive at Hundar by afternoon. Lunch at Camp, rest of the day one is free to explore Deskit, Hundar Village and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village (130 km). O/N stay at Diskit/Hunder - Nubra Valley.

Day 6: Nubra to Leh (4-5 hours)

After Breakfast visit Diskit Monastery, where you can see the Giant Statue of Maitriya Buddha and have a magnificent view of Nubra Valley and drive back to Leh by same Route, crossing Khardungla Pass( 130 km). O/N stay at Leh.

Day 7: Leh to Pangong Lake (5-6 hours)

After early Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through Changla Pass 17,350 ft, which is the third highest motorable road in the world. Pangong, is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Upon arrival, visit the location of 3 Idiots also known as shooting point. Later on you can take a walk along the scenic turquoise colored Lake and enjoy its beauty (160 km).O/N stay at Spangmik.

Day 8: Pangong to Leh (5-6 hours)

Return from Pangong Lake, enroute visit Hemis Monastery- the living heritage of Ladakh and Thiksey monastery, an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, resembling Potala Palace of Tibet. Evening free for shopping and stroll around Leh Bazaar. O/N stay at Leh.

Day 9: Leh to Jispa (8-9 hours)

Early morning start your journey towards Jispa via Taglangla pass (17,480 ft), which is flanked by mountain ranges on both sides featuring some stunning sand and rock natural formations. (335 km)O/N stay at Jispa.

Day 10: Jispa to Manali ( 6-7 hours)

After breakfast drive towards Manali from Jispa via Rohtang pass (3980 mt)-(140 km) O/N stay at Manali.

Day 11- Tour Ends

Check out from the Hotel and head back to your respective destination (At own cost). Your memorable tour ends here.
