Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival in Leh 3500 meters / 11560 feet & Local Sightseeing

Arrival in Leh, Relax for half day & post lunch visit Leh palace- Palace of the erstwhile Royal King of Ladakh and Shanti Stupa which offers you a panoramic view of entire Leh town, Indus valley and lofty mountain of Zansker & Ladakh range (30 km) O/N stay at Leh.

Day 2- Sham Valley Tour.

Sham valley tour, enroute visit Indian Army Hall of Fame-A war museum dedicated to the brave martyrs of Indian Army, Indus- Zanskar confluence, hike up to Basgo castle- once used by the Namgyal king of Ladakh,Moonland Landscape and Lamayuru monastery which belong to the Drikung Kargyud monastic order and is one of the largest and oldest Gompa in Ladakh ( 120 km one way). O/N stay at Leh

Day 3: Leh to Nubra valley (4-5 hours)

After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (One of the Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft) Arrive at Hundar by afternoon. Lunch at Camp, rest of the day one is free to explore Deskit, Hundar Village and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village (130 km). O/N stay at Hunder/Diskit - Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Nubra to Leh (4-5 hours)

After Breakfast visit Diskit Monastery, where you can see the Giant Statue of Maitriya Buddha and have a magnificent view of Nubra Valley and drive back to Leh by same Route, crossing Khardungla Pass (130 km) O/N stay at Leh.

Day 5: Leh to Pangong Lake (5-6 hours)

After early Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through Changla Pass 17,350 ft, which is the third highest motorable road in the world. Pangong, is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Upon arrival, visit the location of 3 Idiots also known as shooting point. Later on you can take a walk along the scenic turquoise colored Lake and enjoy its beauty (160 km). O/N stay at Spangmik.

Day 6- Pangong to Leh (6-7 hours)

Return from Pangong Lake, enroute visit Thiksey monastery-an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, resembling Potala Palace of Tibet and Shey palace & Monastery - seat of ancient capital of Ladakh. Evening free for shopping and stroll around Leh Bazaar (170 km) O/N stay at Leh.

Day 7- Return from Leh.
